McDow, Matthew Bryan

Matt was born in Alice, Texas on March 16, 1974. He passed away on September 27, 2023 at the age of 49.

He spent the majority of his childhood in Houston, where he developed many friendships that lasted throughout his life. Matt always loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping and fishing. He was an avid fan of the Astros and LSU football.

Matt was always ready for a good crawfish boil, fish fry or barbeque. At family gatherings he loved spending time with his niece and five nephews.

Matt was known as a kind-hearted and caring person. He had a smile that could light up a room and a spirit that was truly contagious. His love for life was immeasurable, and he had recently become engaged to the love of his life, making plans for a beautiful future together.

Matt faced many challenges throughout his adulthood. Whenever life handed him a setback, he always stayed positive and found a way to overcome it. His perseverance and positive outlook under difficult circumstances was an inspiration to everyone around him.

Matt is survived by his fiancé Elizabeth Beneventano, mother Pam Webster and her husband Scott, his father Gary McDow and his wife Patti, his brother Craig McDow and sisters Ashleigh Hansberger and Carleigh McDow.

Matt was dearly loved by many people in his life and he will be fondly remembered by all those that knew him.

A memorial service will be held at Klein Funeral Home at Klein Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM .
