It is with our heaviest hearts that we announce the passing of our most treasured son, brother, and friend, Matthew Michael Case (Matt) on Friday September 17, 2021 at the young age of 32.
Matt was born to Jay and Pam Case on September 17, 1988 in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1994 Matt's family relocated to Cypress, Texas where he spent the majority of his life as a true Texan. Matt graduated from Cy-Fair High School in 2007 before pursuing a career as an Electrician.
From early on Matt developed a love for all things outdoors. Hunting and fishing were his true passions. You could guarantee Matt had a smile a mile wide when you found him in a deer stand, a duck blind, or fishing his heart out on the coast.
Matt had an incredible ability to fix and create almost anything. He loved tools, working on his truck, and especially helping others, whether it was his friends, family, or complete strangers.
Anyone lucky enough to know Matt knew him by his kind heart, overwhelming generosity, and his adventurous soul. Matt will always be remembered for his bright blue eyes, his sincere smile, and his contagious, heartwarming laugh.
Matt will sadly be missed every single day by his surviving loved ones including his dad and step-mother, Jay and Jeannie Case; his brother, Zack Case; his step-sisters, Liz Stavinoha and husband Steven, and Alexandra Shaw; his nephews, Hudson, Hunter, and Logan; and an abundance of beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Matt is now reunited with his mom, Pam, his uncles, Tim and Paul, and all of his grandparents.
A private family memorial to celebrate Matt's life will be held at the family ranch in Camp Wood, Texas.
