Matias S. Perales (Matt), age 74, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on September 8, 2021, surrounded by family.

Matt was a wonderful husband, amazing father, and terrific grandfather.  He is survived by his loving family including his beloved wife of almost 50 years, Cynthia Perales; daughter Laura Ramos and husband Joe III; daughter Tracy Hayworth and husband Collin; and grandsons Joey Ramos IV and Nicholas Ramos.  He is also survived by his sister JoAnn Perales and brother Robert Perry.

Matt was a Sergeant in the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam.  He retired from the Houston Police Department after 44 years of dedicated service.  He will be deeply missed and FOREVER be in our hearts!

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 16, at Klein Funeral Home - Champions, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, TX 77379. A visitation and viewing will begin at 9 a.m. Interment will be private.
