With sorrow at her absence, but joy for her eternal rest, we announce the passing of Matiana Alonso-Reyes our devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and beloved friend, who peacefully passed away on March 18th at the age of 85. Born in Quitupan, Jalisco Mexico on July 17th 1939, she was defined by her unwavering Faith in God, his son Jesus and the Blessed Mother, Mary.

Matiana was known for her healing nature, willingness to sacrifice herself for others, and to share her Faith without reservation. Matiana is survived by her children, Carlos Alonso, Jose Alonso, and Veronica de Rooy, and her grandchildren, Ana Victoria, Julissa, Jose Eduardo, Samantha, Carlos Jr., Fernando, Liam, Emiliano, and Brenda.

The Mass commemorating her will be held on April 3rd at 10:30am at Holy Family Church, 83 Clove Rd, New Rochelle, NY.
