Mary Vosteen, 91, passed away November 24, 2021, in Magnolia, Texas. She was born July 20, 1930, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Eugene Edwin and Louise Anna Jensen Steffey. Mary married Hans Adolph Vosteen, the love of her life, on April 1, 1972, in Conroe, Texas. Mary enjoyed serving others and studying the word of God and sharing her faith with everyone she met. She was a certified lay chaplain for Magnolia's United Methodist Church. She graduated from Faith Bible Institute and was a member of Joy Sisters at Magnolia's First Baptist Church. She worked with the Society of Samaritans in Magnolia when it was organized along with Judy Everett. She taught children's Sunday school at Magnolia UMC and drove a school bus for many school districts during her life, including Elkhart, Indiana, Klein ISD, and Magnolia ISD. She drove the bus for special needs children the last 13 years of her bus driving career.
She is survived by her step-children, her nephew's wife Pat Miller, and many friends. She was preceded in his death by her husband, Hans Vosteen, her parents Eugene and Louise Steffey, her sister Alice Miller, other siblings, and her nephew Dean Miller.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, from 11AM-Noon, at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, Texas 77375. Flowers are not requested at this time since the graveside service will be at a later date.
