Mary Ann (Lindemann) Trauernicht passed away to eternal rest and peace on the night of November 26, 2021, after a very long battle with Alzheimer's. As her body and mind declined, she remained kind and loving to all she encountered until she was welcomed home in heaven.

Mary Ann was born on September 11, 1948, in Brenham, TX to the late Robert Eldor and Annie Mae (Wusterhausen) Lindemann. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert C. Lindemann and her sister Ruby Lee (Lindemann) Neitsch.

Mary Ann grew up on a farm in Lexington, TX. This farm life instilled a strong work ethic and mental toughness in her that she carried throughout her life. It also created a love for a big farmer's breakfast-one of her acts of loves that she continued to share with her family. On November 6, 1970 she married (Allen) Dean Trauernicht of Houston, TX at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Houston. Together they built a life of love, hard work, and family.

Mary Ann leaves behind her loving husband of 51 years, Dean, who gave so much back to her in her final years when she could no longer care for herself and others. She will also be lovingly remembered by her sons; Brian (Teran) Trauernicht of Baton Rouge, LA, and Randall (Ruth) Trauernicht of Houston, TX. Mary Ann is also survived by her three grandchildren, Tyler, Megan, and Ryan Trauernicht.

Balancing work and raising her boys, Mary Ann ended her work career as a title clerk at Big H Auto Auction. When not working, Mary Ann was often seen on a tennis court, cheering on her boys in baseball and football, or driving her boys wherever they needed to go. She was always up for a game of catch. She always gave of herself to ensure everyone's needs were met; taking care of Dean and her sons; taking care of her family and Dean's in their days of failing health; and taking care of her daughter-in-law when exhaustion of raising little ones set in.

Mary Ann was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother who gave her life selflessly to serve and care for those she loved. She will be remembered for her no-nonsense way of just taking care of things, things that many did not even realize needing doing. She loved her grandchildren immensely and cherished every opportunity to snuggle them until they drifted off to sleep.

In the final days, as we grieved the life we were losing, the words often heard were "She was so good to me."  No truer words could be spoken about Mary Ann. She was good to us, all of us; to all she encountered. We find great comfort in the knowledge that her body and mind are finally at peace, and she is surrounded in love by those who have gone before her.

Our family will be forever grateful to the excellent care she received at Village Green Alzheimer's Care in Cypress, Texas, and the comforting care she received from her Hospice nurses.
