Obituary

Mary Christine Scoville went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 3, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.  Christine was born December 8, 1927 to Mary Mae and Dennis Clanton in Santo, Texas.  She played basketball and graduated from Santo High School.  She went on to attend and graduate from Business School. She married Dan McKenzie Scoville on December 22, 1946. They were blessed with 56 years of marriage, and she was a very dedicated and loving mother to their five children.  Christine worked at Cy-Fair ISD as a Secretary to the Counselors prior to her retirement. Her faith was important to her and she was an original member of the Jersey Village Church of Christ.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, music, shopping and adding to her doll collection.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Dan McKenzie Scoville, Daughters, Linda and husband Tommy Ross, Karen and husband Chris Huffmeister.  She is survived by her sons, Danny and wife Judy Scoville, Steve and wife Katherine Scoville, Clayton and husband Anthony Weaver, Grandchildren, Shelley and husband John Taschery, Charlie Scoville, Jeremy and wife Shannon Huffmeister, Kevin and wife Chessica Ross, D'Nette and husband David Stroud, Nicole James and husband Kenny Ratton, Michael Scoville, Andrea Scoville, Karson Scoville and Korbin Scoville.  11 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

We love you Mother, Mom, Momma and Granny. We are so thankful to God that today you are with Jesus and your loving Dan. What more could we ask for.

God made a wonderful Mother, a Mother who never grows old; he made her smile of the sunshine, and he molded her heart of pure gold; in her eyes he placed bright shining stars, in her cheeks, fair roses you see; God made a wonderful Mother, and he gave that dear Mother to me.

The family would like to thank the compassionate and caring staff at Surecare and Devotion Hospice for all the kindness and loving care they showed Christine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Jersey Village Church of Christ.
