Mary Jane Parris , affectionately known by friends and family as Jane, passed away on April 12, 2017. She is survived by her husband, Sam, and children Teresa Poulos and husband Michael, Phillip Parris, Samuel J. Parris and wife Denise, John Parris and wife Michele. Her grandchildren Michael Poulos, Jr. (Dana) Melissa McDaniel (Jeremy), William Parris (Laura), Jennifer Parris, Nicole Menard (Bo), Carley Swetz, Sonny Swetz, Elizabeth Swetz, and Cicely Parris, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous other family members.

Jane was married to the love of her life for 63 years. She spent 28 years as an Army wife, traveling with her husband and four children wherever the army sent them. She was always involved with the church as well as several charities for women and children. Jane and Sam were also hosts to Vietnamese refugees through their church in Houston. She was always available to help anyone in need. She had a voice like an angel and for many years was active in the church choir and also with the Houston Seniors Choir.

Jane was an only child and when she married she told Sam that she wanted a big family. She was happiest whenever she had all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in her home. She absolutely loved her family with all her heart.

The love that Jane gave to everyone will remain with us forever.
