Mary Nell Works Pace was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 6, 1942. She went to be with her Lord on June 18, 2020 in Tomball, Texas. She was 77 years old.

Mary Nell was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ronnie Louis Pace, Sr, her parents, Billy Barnes Works, Sr and Mary Ellen"Midge" Norsworthy Cooley. Also, her beloved grandmother Nell "Muggy" Barnes Works Tugwell and her sister-in-law Anne Keller Works.

She is survived by her brother Billy Works of West Monroe, Louisiana, her four sons, Ronnie, Jr and Gail Pace of Estancia, New Mexico, Robert and Shelley Pace of Tomball, Texas, Richard and Donna Pace of Tomball, Texas, and Ryan and Angela Pace of Huber Heights, Ohio. Also survived by two granddaughters, Dakota and McKenna, five grandsons, Bobby and his wife Janice, Trey and his wife Rebecca , Barrett and his wife Tamra, Beaux, and Alex as well as 1 great granddaughter, Ava, and 4 great grandsons Brayden, Landon, Easton, and Oliver (due in Dec).

Mary Nell loved studying God's Word, and would spend hours preparing weekly Bible Studies for her fellow residents at Tomball Retirement Center, as well as hosting a tea party every last Saturday of the month. All who visited her were made aware of her faith and love for the Lord, because she surrounded herself with the Word, literally, by hanging framed scripture on her walls and displaying her collection of crosses and activities from around the world.

She was never more happy than getting down on the floor to color or play cards with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, even when it became difficult to get back up.

She loved spending time with her girlfriends, Eileen, Earleene, and Arleene, and was proud to be considered an honorary "-leen". They were her constant prayer partners, and provided tremendous comfort and support

"Mama" will be greatly missed, but we can rejoice in the confidence that we will see her again. We know she is present in heaven with those that have gone before her, praising her Saviour right now, experiencing no more pain or sorrow.
