Mary Sue Wallace Lindle, 81, entered eternal rest on December 28, 2019, at her home in Spring, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Brice, Texas on June 7, 1938, to Virgil Alton Wallace and Alice Anne Hopper. She spent much of her childhood on the family farm in West Texas before her family moved to Wolfe City, Texas. She graduated from Wolfe City High School in 1956, and shortly after moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where she took a job with General Dynamics.

While on a beach vacation with some girlfriends in 1957 in Galveston, she saw a cute guy that she recognized from work. They began dating after they returned to Fort Worth, and on July 23, 1960, she married the love of her life, Charles August Lindle, Jr., originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Her husband's career took them to Huntsville, Alabama, in 1961, where her three sons were born. In 1975, another career opportunity brought them back to Texas. They settled in Houston where she spent the remainder of her life.

After her youngest son started high school, Mary Sue returned to the workforce, working in the insurance industry. She retired from Kemper Insurance in 1997.

During her retirement, besides babysitting grandchildren, Mary Sue became interested in researching her family history and was thrilled to re-connect with various family members she discovered. She spent hours on the computer researching her history and loved to tell her family about the facts she discovered. She was proud to trace her heritage back to Scotland in the 1200s as a descendent of the brother of William Wallace, one of Scotland's greatest national heroes.

Mary Sue is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Charles August Lindle, Jr.; her sons Charles August Lindle, III ("Trey") and wife Michelle, Marty Jay Lindle and wife Mariam, and Jonathan Howard Lindle and wife Robin; the absolute joys of her life - her grandchildren Travis Charles Lindle, Laura Katherine Lindle, Allison Charlotte Lindle, Andrew Joseph Lindle ("Bingo"), George Duke Lindle, and Greyson Jack Lindle; sisters Joy Gentry, Wanda Franklin, Lynn Akins and Linda Williams; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mary Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister Jonnie Lou, sisters Norma Osborn, Sybil Mayer, Emma Wallace, and her brother Virgil Wallace, Jr.

The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for providing her comfort in her last days. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

A memorial celebration of Mary Sue's life is being planned for family and close friends.
