Mary Lucas Karnick passed away May 5, 2016. Preceded in death by her   husband of 39 years, Kevin P Karnick, parents Daniel E. and Veronica M. Lucas.  Mary   is survived by her children Daniel Charles and Mary Catherine Karnick, brothers and sisters Daniel Lucas (Christine), Peter Lucas, Ann T Lucas, Joseph Lucas (Jeanna), Kathleen Reding (Jay), and John Lucas (Judy).  Mary was an educator and assistant principal for over 25 years.  She touched the lives of so many, children and teachers alike.  We have heard from so many of you who have gone on to be wonderful teachers as a result of her passion.  Mary met the love of her life Kevin Karnick at St. Mary's University,  Winona MN.  They lived in Chicago Illinois, Rockford, Illinois, finally settling in the Houston Area in 1988 where she pursued her dream of being a teacher.    She was an active parishioner at St. Anne Catholic Church in Tomball. Visitation will be held at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main Street in Tomball on Wednesday May 11th, 2016 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a Vigil service at 6:00 PM followed by a Rosary by the Knights of Columbus. The Rite of Christian Burial will be at St. Anne Catholic Church in Tomball at 10:30 AM on Thursday, May 12.  Burial will follow at Klein Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Mary's memory to the Daniel E. and Veronica M. Lucas Scholarship Fund at St. Mary's University of Minnesota, 700 Terrace Heights, Winona, MN 55987
