Obituary

Mary Judith "Judi" Albrecht went to her Heavenly home on December 12, 2017. She is survived by her husband, Jerry and two children: Scott Albrecht and wife, Lisa; Allyson Palmer and husband, Rob. She was cherished by her grandchildren: Taylor Albrecht, Madison Palmer, and Meredith Palmer.

Judi was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on November 20, 1943, as the eldest daughter of Charles and Mary Kos. Judi graduated from Mount Carmel High School in Houston, Texas and continued her education at Sam Houston State University where she graduated in 1965 with a degree in business. She was a member of Delta Zeta sorority along with her three sisters. She began her career working as a secretary with Cameron Iron Works where she met and later married Gerald Douglas Albrecht. In 1966, she married Jerry and this past July celebrated fifty-one years of marriage. Over their time together, the couple resided in several Texas cities including San Antonio, Grand Prairie, Houston, and Cypress.

Judi had a strong faith in Christ and active involvement in the community. She was a member at Cypress Creek Christian Church and assisted  programs such as Meals on Wheels and Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM).

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Parkinson's Foundation. The family will be planning a memorial reception to be held at a later date.
