Mary Jo (Fry) Hudnall passed peacefully in Magnolia, Texas surrounded by her loved ones, on the 8th of April, at her 74th year. Born April 25th, 1951 in Angleton, Texas, Mary Jo was daughter to Joseph Simon Fry and Lavigne Terese (deFrance) Larkin, and sister to Carol Jean (Fry) Milder, Michael "Mike" Wayne Fry, and Kelley Matthew Fry.

Raised in the Bellaire area of Houston, Texas, Mary Jo took a leadership role as the eldest child in her childhood home, helping care for her younger siblings by cooking, sewing, and running errands for their working mother. After graduating from Robert E. Lee High School, she attended Stephen F. Austin University where she met her husband Oscar Lee "O.L." Hudnall. They were wedded on September 1st, 1971 in Houston, Texas. After their wedding, she and O.L. spent time in California and Oregon before finally settling down, living in both Tyler and Houston, Texas. She gave birth to their daughter Emily Nicole in 1978, followed a few years later, their son Zachary Ross. Mary Jo was a dedicated and loving mother, cherishing her children and grandchildren. She carried lifelong friendships and valued strong relationships with those closest to her. Mary Jo had a faithful relationship with God and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mary Jo, or lovingly referred to as  "MJ" or "Jojo", was at her happiest in the kitchen creating extravagant and amazing dishes for her family. Cooking, gardening flowers, spending time with her dogs, camping in the wilderness, and trips with O.L. on his Harley were her passions. Mary Jo's bright and loving personality made her a beacon of light; with an infectious laughter, she could make everyone feel her joy and be welcomed. Mary Jo was an exceptionally gifted woman, balanced with grace and modesty. Her 40 year career spanned real estate, the title business, and eventually a business owner. In her retirement, she actively spent her time volunteering and proudly supporting the Montgomery County Republican Party and Tea Party, as well as the Freedom Caucus group.

Mary Jo is preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband, and her brother, Mike. She is survived by her two children, Emily and Zachary, her sister Carol (Ken), her brother Kelley (Heidi), and her grandchildren, Benjamin, Gavin, Sophia, Sloane, and Saylor.

Mary Jo's memorial service will be held at 10:00 on the 25th of April, 2026 at the Klein Funeral Home, 14711 FM 1488, Magnolia, Texas. Flowers are encouraged for her memorial service. Mary Jo will be forever missed, but never forgotten.
