Mary Ann Heap, age 87, of Spring, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 19th, 1938, in Houston, Texas to the late Clarence and Florence Galle. Mary Ann was the 4th of seven children, a true middle child, though everyone, even her younger siblings called her "baby".

Mary Ann attended Saint Agnes Academy and went on to attend Loyola University in New Orleans where she met the love of her life, Ted. After marrying, they settled in New Orleans to raise their ever-growing family. In 1968, they moved to Houston where they grew their family and built roots in the catholic community. When she lost Ted, she worked tirelessly to take care of her children.

MaryAnn devoted her life to taking care of her husband and her children but her true love was the Lord. She had a deep devotion to the catholic church and rarely missed an opportunity to attend mass and visit with her church family. She also had a strong devotion to Mary and prayed her rosary faithfully every day. She started a rosary group at The Conservatory where she lived her final years.

In her later years, MaryAnn's greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved to include them on her bucket list trips, and often planned group trips for all of them to be together. Her annual Christmas Eve gathering, which started with her grandmother, was the highlight of everyone's holidays. Gaga, as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren, was their biggest supporter at all their sporting events. She was the first to introduce them to Las Vegas when they turned 21. She also passed her love of games down to her children and grandchildren and could be found in a rousing game of LRC, for money, of course!

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ted; granddaughters, Melanie Heap, Allison Heap, and Gemma Tibbetts; brothers Joe and Rolland Galle, and sister Merlyn Haenelt. She is survived by her sons, John Heap (Amber) and Ted Heap (Jennifer); her daughters, Sandra Starnes (Billy), Jennifer Tibbetts (Chris), Colleen Wathen (Eddy), Mary Pat Jordan (Mike), Christine Bruner (Steve) and Lee Anne Kaye (James); Brother, Pat Galle (Jody) and sisters Denice Gruber and Kim Lanning (Buck). She is also survived by 31 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, January 2nd at 5pm at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, Texas 77379, with a Rosary starting at 6pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 3rd at 11am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 19222 Tomball Parkway, Houston, Texas 77070 with reception to follow. Interment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas, 77023

Serving as pallbearers, Matt Heap, Ted Heap III, Justin Jersey, Christopher Tibbetts, Riley Wathen, Tommie Jordan, Stephen Bruner, Jackson Kaye.
