Surrounded by loved ones Mary Haigood of Spring, Texas went home peacefully to God on July 26th, 2022 at the age of 85. She is preceded in death by her parents Carl Howard Sr. and Annabelle Herring. Mary had three sisters Pauline, Evelyn, Agnes and brother Sonny that have all preceded her in death.
In High School she was offered a modeling contract with Ford Modeling Agency but she declined so that she could get married.
Mary was married on August 15, 1954 to Jack Clark who was called to Heaven in 1982.They had five children together. Later in life she met Larry Haigood while attending bible study at Bammel Baptist Church. They were married on December 18th, 1983 and she was a loving wife until his death in 2020. Mary's passion was being creative. She loved sewing, plastic canvas, scrapbooking and completing puzzles. Her family and friends all have cherished gifts that she had made for them. She also had a great love for Hallmark Christmas movies.
God was always a big part of her life when she was a little girl of eight years old she accepted Jesus as her Savior she even remembers the dress she was wearing. She also tells stories of how excited she was when Billy Graham came to Houston and her church choir got to go see him and sing with the choir at the Billy Graham revival.
Mom loved her Bible and read it every day. She also put on the Armor of God every morning for protection through the day and prayed for protection and peace for all her family and friends. She prayed everyone would accept Jesus as their Savior.
She is survived by her children, daughter Belinda Gwin and husband Tyson, daughter Jackie Smith and husband Steve, daughter Debra Field and Dale Berry, son Jack Clark, daughter Rachel Ball and husband John, She was blessed to have 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. As well as many other cherished family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Larry Haigood in Klein Memorial Park in Pinehurst, Texas after a graveside service at 10am on Monday, August 1, 2022 with the Rev. Carl Herring III officiating at Klein Memorial Park 32539 SH 249 Pinehurst, Texas. 77362
