Mary Rose East of Houston, Texas passed away April 7th, 2025 in Conroe, Tx. She was born May 28th, 1941 to Lila Mae Keltch in Reader, West Virginia. She grew up in Graysville Tennessee.

She graduated from Sam Houston State where she met her husband, Johnny Wayne East. They were married on November 26, 1964. They were married for 51 years and had 3 sons; Scott, Greg and Mike.

Mary was a dedicated school teacher for many years until her retirement. She was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord and was devoted to her family. Mary will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Lila Mae Keltch, her husband Johnny Wayne East and great-granddaughter Blake Clanton. She is survived by her son Scott and wife Annette, son Greg and wife Darlene, son Mike and wife Dawn, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

There will be a Memorial service held at 2pm on Saturday, April 19th at Bethel Community Church, 2414 Lauder Rd, Houston, Tx 77039, Pastor Rick Martinez officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mary's name to the Houston Area Parkinson Society at https://haps.org/ .
