Mary "Katie" Curtner's Obituary
Mary Katherine "Katie" Curtner passed away March 29, 2018 in Katy, Texas at the age of 81. She was born July 7, 1936 in Irving, Texas to the late Edgar Marshall Smith and Ruth Horton Smith. She lived most of her life in Houston, Texas where she raised her children and worked as a legal secretary. She enjoyed her retirement in Halletsville, Texas before moving to Katy, Texas in 2015.
Katie is survived by her husband of 20 years, Tim Curtner, her children Deborah Brown, Pamela Montgomery, Richard Manzano and wife Debbie, Wendy Browning and husband Tom, and Karen Eyster, as well as 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, many stepchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wendal "Bud" Pringle, son Robert Manzano, daughter Judy Manzano, great-granddaughter Dylan McClelland, sisters Betty Liebert and Helen Dill and mother Ruth Smith.
Visitation and viewing will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 10:00am. Both visitation and Funeral Service will be held at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77065. Burial will held at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas, 77038 following the funeral service Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 1:45pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Girls Scouts, San Jacinto Council - https://www.gssjc.org/en/our-council/donate/html.
