Mary Jo Messer Clinkscale 1949-2017

Mary Jo, of Orange, Texas went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2017. She was born January 23, 1949 in Houston, Texas to Daisy and N. Horace Messer and was the youngest of 5. She loved the Lord with all her heart and lived a life of service. She and her husband opened their home to foster children throughout their 36 years of marriage. She served as a preacher's wife and eventually as a nurse. Mary Jo was known for her love to talk and she always had a piece of advice to share. However, she also understood the power of a listening ear. She was fearlessly loyal and quick to advocate for those she loved. Mary Jo was proud of her children and adored her 5 grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children, Andrea Lembcke and her husband John, Brad Clinkscale and his wife Amby, and Crystal Kahle and her husband Cory and grandchildren Pete, Erin, Brayden, Elijah and Elizabeth. She is also survived by her siblings Glenn Messer and his wife Edra, Frank Messer and his wife Vickie, and Nelda Norton and her husband John. As well as numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was welcomed into heaven husband, Fred Clinkscale, her parents, parent-in-laws, and sister Charlotte "Estelle" Scott and her brother in law, LaRoy Scott.

We will celebrate the life of Mary Jo Clinkscale with a visitation on Thursday, May 11th from 6 to 8 pm and funeral services on Friday, May 12th at 10:00am. Both will be held at Klein Funeral Home in Magnolia 14711 FM 1488 Magnolia, TX 77355.
