Mary Jean Wernli Cleveland was born on October 25, 1936 in San Antonio, Texas, and passed away on October 31, 2026.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil William Cleveland, Jr and parents, Jacob and Ella Wernli.

Mary Jean is survived by her three children: Elise Shirey (Bruce), Kathy Donigan (Tommy), and Trey Cleveland (Kim); grandchildren, Will Shirey and wife Sara, Samantha Shirey, Lindsay King and husband Clayton, Kyle Donigan and wife Kristin, Carson Cleveland and wife Dani and Graham Cleveland; great- grandchildren, Teall and Anders Shirey, Brody and Parker King, Jacob and Luke Donigan, and Waverly and Jack Cleveland. Mary Jean is also survived by her sister, Jackie Bowman of New Orleans, Louisiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to Heart to Heart Hospice or to The Village at Gleannloch Farms Legacy Fund in Spring, Texas.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date to be determined.
