Mary Elizabeth Bill, 83, of Prairie Lea, Texas (most recently Klein, Texas) passed peacefully in her sleep on September 22, 2021. Mary was born September 14 th , 1938, in Cedarbrook, New Jersey, to William and Helen McDevitt. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Allen (Sonny) Bill; both of her parents; and her siblings William McDevitt Jr., Helen Seppy, and Shelia Baynes. She is survived by her brother Jimmy and wife Barbara; her sons Brian, Bruce and wife Rhonda, and Kenny; and her grandchildren Gregory and Clayton. Mary spent her life giving back to her community in every way possible. Whether it was blood drives, food drives, or baby-sitting the neighborhood kids, Mary was always the first one to step up. As a cancer survivor and an active member in her church, Mary had a strong passion for giving back to as many charity organizations as she could, including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the American Cancer Society. She loved God and her family tremendously, and was a friend to all wherever she went. The only thing that Mary loved more than volunteering was her grandkids, which were her greatest treasure. Her face always lit up when she was with them, and would talk about them nonstop to anybody who would listen. She was an astounding mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, and will forever and always be missed dearly.
Donations to honor her memory can be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
