Mary Catherine Addison Byrd 73, of Cypress Texas passed away Thursday, February 10th, 2022, under the care of Heart to Heart Hospice at Cypress Pointe Health & Wellness Center after a lengthy illness.

Mary was born February 22nd, 1948, at home on the family farm in Collin County Texas.  She is preceded in death by parents Fred Addison and Marie Addison Lawler, and Mary's brother, Max.  She was raised in Midland, Houston and Plano Texas.

She was a loving wife, mother, stepmother, grand-mother and great-grandmother.

She enjoyed her dog Micco in her lap, tending her beloved roses, landscaping, and was a certified SCUBA diver.  Everyone remembers her love for all things Christmas, and her famous red velvet cake.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years George Byrd, her daughter Sarah Lloyd and husband Greg of Cypress and their children Gabriel and wife Amanda, Aaron and wife Danica, and Christian, Ethan, and Hannah, and great-granddaughter Zoey.

Stepdaughter Lisa Kevil of Houston and grandchildren, Troy and Shane.  Stepson Matthew Byrd and wife Nancy of Houston and grandchildren Stacy Cue and wife Lacey, Stephanie Floyd and husband Jason, and Steven Cue of Dallas, and great-grandchildren Chloe, Journey, Kylen, Shelby, Eliana, and Sebastian.
