Marvin “Chip” Nelson Pilley III

Marvin “Chip” Nelson Pilley III, age 55, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026. Chip was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Nelson Pilley Jr.

Chip is survived by his loving mother, Kimberly Flynn; his cherished stepsons, Nathan Gilmore and Glenn Carlock; brother, Todd Hogan, his aunt, Joan Yarbrough; and many cousins and friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Chip had a deep passion for the things he loved most in life. He enjoyed spending time fishing, watching and playing basketball, and riding motorcycles whenever he could. A gifted and skilled master carpenter, Chip took great pride in his craftsmanship and was known for his ability to create and build with precision and care. His strong work ethic, talent, and dedication earned the respect of those who knew him.

Above all, Chip valued the relationships he shared with family and friends. He will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and the many memories he created with those he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
