Martin Edward Singer, 82, went to be with his Heavenly Father on March 13, 2022 from pulmonary edema.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 8, 1940 to Edward and Meta Mueller Singer. They later moved to Maywood, Ca. and then settled in Santa Ana, California. In 1958 he joined the Army and served as a Chaplain's Assistant.
He opened The Scripture House Christian Bookstore located in Anaheim, Ca. While teaching bible study he met his wife Sherry Weagant. The two were married in 1967. God blessed them with two children, Christopher and Michele.
The family moved to Colorado when he went to work for Zondervan Family Christian Stores in Aurora, Co. He remained as Christian Bookstore manager for Mustard Seed Bible Bookstores, Joshua's Christian Stores, and Family Bookstores.
In 1998 Martin and Sherry moved back to Orange, Ca. to be near their grandchildren. Upon his wife being diagnosed with lymphedema he retired early to serve her with full time home care.
Martin enjoyed teaching bible class, playing games with his grandkids, civil war history, model trains, and puns.
Martin is preceded in death by his brother, mother, father, and wife. He is survived by his brother Steven Singer (Stefani) and sister in law Kendis Weagant; his son Chris Singer (Jeanette), his daughter Michele Singer; his grandchildren Caleb, Hanah, Rachel, Benjamin, and Jacob Singer and many relatives and friends.
Martin wished to ask his friends to praise and thank Jesus for the love God gives each of us and asked his family to hold a private gathering of prayer and remembrance.
