Martin (Marty) Ross, 52, passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2018 after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born on February 22, 1966 to Paul and Mady (Jacobs) Ross. Marty was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School and the University of Houston in Houston TX. He was married to Brenda (Brosch) Ross for 23 wonderful years. Marty was a lifetime teacher and coach – loving the idea of sharing life experiences or advice to his students and athletes. He spent the last ten years at Magnolia West High School, where he taught health and coached the golf team. He was an exceptional teacher/coach always inspiring his students to do their best and go the extra mile.
Marty truly lived life to the fullest! He enjoyed being with family and friends at all times. He had an uncanny ability to reach people in a positive way, making them smile or laugh, or having a quick witted joke ready for them. Everyone who met him got a taste of his humor – like it or not – and he always made people feel welcomed and loved. Marty loved high school sports and being around people. He was always checking scores on games or calling his coaching friends to hear the latest news about their team.
Marty is survived by his wife, Brenda, and their three children, Randy, Kyle, and Amy. Marty believed the most important thing in the world was family and love. He gave his all to his family's happiness and in return, received the love that endured all. He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses: Paula Smith (T.D.), Mike Ross (Julie), Mark Ross (Gretchen), Patrice Cox (Steve), and Mitch Ross (Donna), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Marty loved his in-laws and will be missed tremendously by the entire Brosch family. He is preceded in death by his parents. He will be missed by many.
