Martin Marion Bessinger was born June 17, 1966, in Columbia, South Carolina, to Grace Lotz Bessinger and Stanley Ray Bessinger. Martin was called home to the Lord on November 14, 2023. He passed away peacefully at the age of 57 and was honored to be an organ donor.

He graduated from Friendswood High School in 1984. He was later a proud graduate of University of Houston and an active member of Sigma Chi fraternity where he maintained many wonderful lifelong friends.

Martin was a veteran of the wine and spirits industry. His last position was District Manager at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits.

He loved all sports, especially University of Houston athletics. He enjoyed attending football, baseball, and basketball games. Martin loved to cook and entertain family. He took such pride in his family. They meant the world to him.

Martin was a man of strong faith. Martin was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Bessinger. He is survived by his son, Martin Marion; his mother, Grace Lotz Bessinger; sister, Catherine Bessinger-Rout; and brother, Ray Bessinger.

A memorial service for Martin will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, 11522 Telge Rd, Cypress, on Nov. 27 at 1 PM.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to Messiah Lutheran Church.
