Marti Suzanne Fleming was born July 2, 1985 in Lubbock, Texas, the daughter of Martin and Lonna Fleming.  Marti graduated from Klein High School in 2003.  In high school she lettered in Varsity tennis, played the saxophone in the band and was elected to the Standleaders, a large philanthropic, school-pride organization.  Marti was very active in her church, Faithbridge Student Ministries, and often played the keyboard and guitar for the youth worship services.

Marti attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where she was a member and officer of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.  Marti graduated from A&M with a degree in Business Administration, was an Honors Fellows Award recipient and also earned her Masters in Accounting.  During her career, Marti worked in various accounting, tax and investment advisory roles, but most recently pursued her passion for entrepreneurship & financial technology, opening her own business which created algorithmic trading models to manage a diversified portfolio fund of various cryptocurrency assets.

Marti loved numbers ("because they always make sense"), snow-cones (peaches and cream), the beach (especially Belize), and puzzles in both the tangible (jigsaw) and intangible (mystery) sense.

Marti had a generous heart, wicked sense of humor, contagious laugh and may be remembered by some for her pranks, often of questionable appropriateness.   From an early age, Marti was a gifted musician and found peace in music when playing her piano, saxophone and singing along to songs on her guitar.

Above all else, and for the entirety of her life on earth, Marti had the deepest and most personal relationship with her Almighty Creator & Jesus Christ.  She studied her Bible and lived with quotes from scripture written on every page of her many journals, on the canvases she painted, on post-it notes across her desk, and even taped on her bathroom vanity, nightstand and on the dashboard of her car.

Surviving Marti are her beloved father, Martin of Spring, Texas, brother Paul of New York, New York and her much-adored dog, Penny.  Marti was preceded in death by her mother, Lonna Fleming, whom Marti joined in heaven on the evening of October 23, 2019.
