In Loving Memory of Marthajo Kathleen Gentry

Marthajo Kathleen Gentry passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 25th, 2025, at the age of 81. She was born on October 8th, 1943, in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched the lives of so many.

Marthajo was preceded in death by her parents, John B. and Eileen Gentry; her brothers, John B. Gentry II, Jay Arthur Gentry, Dallas Lee Gentry; and her sister-in-law, Maris Gentry. She is survived by her loving sister, Joann (Jody) Marrs, and her husband David; her brothers, Gregory Alan Gentry and Kevin E. Gentry, and his wife Marla; her sister-in-law, Wendy Gentry; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.

A proud graduate of Battle Creek, Michigan, Marthajo went on to earn her degree from Western Michigan University. She dedicated her career to the banking and real estate industries, where she built lasting relationships and left a meaningful impact on those she worked with.

Marthajo's greatest joy in life came from spending time with her beloved nieces and nephews, as well as her grandnieces and grandnephews. They were her "Pride and Joy," and she treasured every moment shared with them. Her love for sports was unmatched—if anyone had a question about football, basketball, or baseball, she was the one to ask. Her enthusiasm for the games and her depth of knowledge made her the ultimate sports expert in the family.

She had a deep love for family traditions, and nothing brought her more happiness than gathering with loved ones during the holidays. Christmas, in particular, held a special place in her heart. Her face would light up with joy as she watched the children open gifts and take in the warmth of family togetherness.

Marthajo's kindness, laughter, and generous spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her love will remain in our hearts forever, guiding us and reminding us of the beauty of family and the joy she brought into our lives.

Rest in peace, dear Marthajo. You will always be loved, always be missed, and always be remembered.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, April 1st at 11am at Klein Memorial Park,
