Martha Sue Young, 62, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 24, 2019.

Martha was born in Houston, Texas to Milton and Ruth (Huse) Young on December 10, 1956 and was baptized in Our Savior Lutheran Church in Houston. Martha attended Our Savior Lutheran School and then school in Aldine ISD. Martha also attended the Art Institute of Houston and the University of Houston with a Bachelor s degree in graphic arts.

Martha worked several jobs during her lifetime, but her favorite was working at Baylor. Martha worked as the graphics design specialist for the Center for Educational Outreach at the Baylor College of Medicine. Over many years Martha impacted tens of thousands of teachers and their students by designing top-quality educational materials and making them accessible worldwide on the Center's award-winning website. At Baylor Martha met and kept many lifelong friends. They were part of her family and a huge part of her life.

Martha was always generous with her time, knowledge and tender heart to help family, friends, animals and those in need.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents Milton and Ruth Young, sister Lora Elaine Young and nephew Michael Owen Kriegel, special Nob Hill friends Louise Jones and Jane Lilley.

Martha is survived by her sisters Linda and husband Alton Redmond, Judith and husband Aubrey Norris, Barbara Young, Sandra Bartlett and Dixi Elkins. Brother John Young. F iancé Thomas Stazer. Nieces and nephews The Dennison's Tracey, Wade and Emily; the Walden's Christopher, Vicky, Avery and Tyler; the Young's Justin, Coltin and JD; Joshua, Sarah, Shelbi, Dakota and Whitney; and Malorie and Nate Ramsey.

We would like to especially thank Dr. Monica Sanchez Shields, Cardiovascular Disease; Dr. Gerald Lawrie, Vascular Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Cardiac Surgery; and Dr. Ray Chihara, Lung Transplant Surgery, Thoracic Surgery and their staffs for the wonderful care and attention they gave Martha as well as the support to her family.
