Martha Ann Koperwhats passed away peacefully at home Thursday, December 17, 2020.
Martha was born on August 9, 1938 in Kingsville, Texas, grew up in Sinton, Texas, and resided in Northwest Houston, Texas for 52 years.
Martha married Robert John Koperwhats on November 28, 1958, and they enjoyed 62 wonderful years together. They were both very active and loved to travel. They travelled to 32 countries, made trips to Fredericksburg, Texas with family and friends, and sailed on cruises all over the world.
Martha leaves behind her loving husband, Robert John Koperwhats; two daughters, Laura Bruhn and husband Pete, and Leslie Schmidt; grandson, Ryan Schmidt; and siblings, Mary Pratt, Daniel Ternus, Joseph Ternus, and Thomas Ternus. She was a loving wife and mother, and was compassionate and respectful of everyone. Her faith and family was most important to her.
Martha worked very hard and held many administrative jobs. Along with double Master's Degrees in Radiology and Healthcare Hospital Administration. She was technically brilliant in what she understood concerning imaging technology and the implications of it's usage. Martha was also a long time member of Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Her family would especially like to thank her loving, compassionate, best friend and family to her, Kathey her caregiver, and Georgia and Kim.
Martha's family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation from 4-6pm with a Rosary service beginning at 6pm on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, TX 77379. A funeral mass for Martha will be held at 10am on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Martha's name to the American Cancer Society.
