Martha Golden Goodman, age 79, of Magnolia, Texas, passed away on August 21, 2026. Born in Covington, Tennessee in 1947 to Lester and Naomi Golden, Martha grew up with a gentle spirit, a strong work ethic, and a deep love for family that would shape every chapter of her life.

Martha spent many dedicated years working for Southwestern Bell, where she was known for her reliability, kindness, and steady presence. After becoming a mother, she chose to devote herself fully to raising and caring for her two daughters — a role she embraced with unwavering love and pride.

Later in life, Martha continued her lifelong commitment to helping others by serving as a volunteer Ombudsman for the aging program, offering advocacy, companionship, and compassion to seniors in her community.

Martha shared 61 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Norman Goodman, a partnership marked by devotion, humor, and steadfast support. Together they built a family that was the center of Martha’s world. 

She is survived by her daughters, Miesha Boyd (married to Andrew Boyd) and Ashlee Sawyer (married to Dennis Sawyer); and her cherished grandchildren: Joseph Boyd, Jenna Boyd, Raven Sawyer, Ryder Sawyer, and Reagan Sawyer. Her family was her greatest joy, and she delighted in every moment spent entertaining, cooking for, and laughing with her grandchildren.

Martha was a woman of many talents and interests. She enjoyed painting, gardening, collecting recipes, and cooking, always creating beauty and comfort in the spaces around her. Her home was a place of warmth, creativity, and welcome — a reflection of her generous heart.

Martha will be remembered for her gentle nature, her devotion to family, her love of simple joys, and the way she made every person feel cared for. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured and the lives she touched.
