In the early morning hours of April 3rd, 2020, Marsha Redding, loving wife, mother, and grandmother peacefully passed away after courageously battling Pancreatic Cancer. Marsha was born in Dallas, TX to George and Thelma Houseman. She attended schools in various parts of Texas and graduated from Robinson High School- Waco, TX- class of 1971. Shortly thereafter, on June 5 ^th 1971, Marsha married the love of her life, Neil Redding, and they built a beautiful family together in Houston, TX. Marsha and Neil had four children who were the apples' of her eye, and when she became a Meaux Meaux to her two grandchildren, she found a whole new joy in life. Marsha was a commercial property insurance underwriter for over 40 years, and she finished her career with AmWINS Group LLC. She was a people person, and her work family became a second family to her. In addition, Marsha was a lover of dancing, singing, and music. It would be no surprise to catch her break into a dance anywhere, even in the aisle of a store, and she always said she had the music in her. She also loved to support her children at the many activities they participated in, and she never missed a game, competition, or event. In more recent years that love was then passed on to attending all of her grandchildren's events, and she was happiest being there to cheer them on at every sporting event. She was known as the softball grandma and always one of the loudest cheerleaders in the stands. More than anything in life, Marsha loved her family, and it was important to her to always keep a strong bond between family; there was never a holiday, birthday, or special occasion that wasn't spent celebrating with her family. Her heart loved deeply, and Marsha never left anyone without lots of laughter, HUGS, and love; no one could ever say goodbye without an "I Love You, be careful, and call me when you get home" first. She was best known for giving the best hugs, her radiant smile, and her kind, compassionate heart. All in all, Marsha's love of life was shaped from her strong faith; she was a devote Catholic and member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church of Houston. Marsha is preceded in death by her daughter- Catherine Pauline Ruth Redding and son- Neil Brett Redding, parents- Thelma Hebert Houseman and George Oscar Houseman Sr. and Billie Ruth Houseman, her maternal grandparents- Marshall and Rena Hebert and paternal grandparents- George A. and Maida Houseman, her brother in-laws- Bill Yetman, Forest Redding, and Frank Lawson, and her beloved nephew- Rogers Redding. She is survived by her husband- Neil Hague Redding, daughter and son-in-law- Meghan and Josh Taylor, her son- Timothy "Ryan" Redding and his partner- Oscar Diaz, her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy- Madysen and Jameson Taylor, her brother- George O. Houseman Jr. and wife, Nancy, her sisters- Sharyn Yetman and partner- Philip Lipnick and Tina Houseman, and sister-in-laws' Sally Redding and Cynthia Lawson, and several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. There will be a graveside service for immediate family only. The family will have a Celebration of Life at a future date- to be held in the Chapel of the Klein Funeral Home at 9719 Wortham BLVD.
