Marla Kay Wells, 64, of The Woodlands, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026, in The Woodlands.

Born on October 7, 1961, in Houston, Texas, Marla lived life with a vibrant spirit and an infectious smile. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, never meeting a stranger and quickly turning acquaintances into friends. Her laughter was contagious, her personality unforgettable, and she was often the life of the party wherever she went.

Marla found joy in shopping, spending time with family and friends, and making memories with those she loved most. She loved to sing and dance—whether anyone asked her to or not—and was always ready to entertain on someone else's stage. Her fun-loving nature and sense of humor brought happiness to countless lives, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Above all, Marla's greatest joy was being a mother. She loved her son unconditionally and was his biggest supporter, always believing he could do no wrong. Marla often joked that Wes was her favorite son—albeit her only one. The bond they shared was filled with unwavering love, encouragement, laughter, and pride.

She is lovingly survived by her son, Wesley Taylor Wells; her future daughter-in-law, Rachel Hernandez; her grandson, Koen Kinart; her brother, Keith Martin Stockburger; and her stepfather, Clovis Westbrook.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Patricia Westbrook, and her brother, Mike Stockberger.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Marla's life at a memorial service on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Klein Funeral Home in Magnolia, 14711 FM 1488 Magnolia, Texas 77355. The service will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Marla's legacy is one of laughter, kindness, and unconditional love. She lived life with enthusiasm, found joy in the people around her, and had an extraordinary ability to make others smile. While her absence leaves an immeasurable void, those who loved her will forever carry her laughter, her warmth, and the countless memories she created.

"Perhaps the best measure of a life is not the years we live, but the love we leave behind." Marla left behind a lifetime of love, and that love will continue to live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
