On Monday, November 18th, 2019, Markus Ortiz husband to Kristi Kelley Ortiz and father to Ava Pilar Ortiz passed away at the age of 42.

Markus was born in Houston, TX to Octavio and Viola Ortiz. He graduated from St Thomas high school in 1995 and received his Business Management degree from Texas A&M.

Markus loved making people laugh with his quick wit and personality. He had a passion for his Texas sports teams - Astros, Texans, Rockets and Aggies. He was loyal to his teams and thoroughly enjoyed attending games at Minute Maid Park or NRG Stadium. Markus loved spending time with his wife Kristi and Ava. He was particularly fond of the Christmas Season. As a family they would typically have the interior of their house completely decorated before Thanksgiving. He loved the Holidays!

Markus is survived by his wife Kristi and their dauthter Ava; his parents Octavio Jr and Viola Ortiz, his brother Octavio III and his son Tav; his sister Monica and her husband Jeff and their son Zachary.

A Memorial mass will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 2:00PM at St Ambrose Catholic Church on Mangum Rd.

In lieu of flowers a college fund has been established for his daughter Ava.
