Mark Harabis

January 20, 1960 - April 1, 2024

Mark Harabis, a loving husband, father, and "Grumps," passed away peacefully on April 1, 2024, at the age of 64.

He was born on January 20, 1960, in Yoakum, Texas, to Leo and Rosalie Harabis. Mark graduated from Yoakum High School in 1978 and went on to pursue a career in Operations and Logistics, dedicating most of his professional life to Texas Concrete. On July 10, 2004, he married the love of his life, Susan.

Mark had a passion for UT Longhorns sports, competitive cooking, attending festivals, and listening to music. He had a zest for life and was often the life of the party, bringing joy to those around him. Mark found immense happiness in watching his grandchildren play sports and cherished every moment spent with them.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Susan, his sons Chad Harabis (Melissa) and Ryan Harabis (Emily), his stepchildren Tim Romano (Emily) and Jennifer Sebesta, his brother Ronald Harabis (Kathy), and his grandchildren Brock, Colt, Mason, Grant, Stella, Rhett, Larry, Chloe, and Joshua.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Rosalie Harabis, and his grandson, Benjamin Romano.

Mark will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, his unique personality, and his boundless love for his family. He touched the lives of all who knew him and will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held on April 5, 2024, at Crossbridge Christian Church, 15415 West Rd, Houston, TX, 77095. There will be a viewing starting at 9:00 AM, followed by the memorial service at 10:00 AM.
