Heaven gained another beautiful angel, Marjorie Lucille Voskuhl Dacus, on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the age of 89. Marjorie was born on a farm near Marshall, Oklahoma on August 4, 1927 to Albert and Agnes Voskuhl. Marjorie was raised there, living with her parents and brothers, until she graduated from high school in 1945. At the age of 17, she left for St. Anthony's Nursing School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with a quarter in her pocket, a small suitcase, and big dreams. Upon graduation, Marjorie took a position as a Registered Nurse at Vance AFB in Enid, Oklahoma, working all over the hospital including the emergency room. Her passions were nursing and caring for her family. While working at Vance, she met a patient that would change her life: the love of her life, Dayle McClain Dacus. They were married over 56 years until his death, September 26, 2007. Dayle was an officer in the United States Air Force for 20 years. He, Marjorie, and their family of four children were stationed in many interesting and wonderful places including Florida, California, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Texas, and Prestwick, Scotland. They moved to Friendswood, Texas in October 1973. Marjorie loved her family fiercely. She was a loving, caring mother to her four adoring children. To know her was to love her! She had such a wonderful, sweet personality, with a delightful sense of humor and a quick wit. She will be missed terribly by all that were lucky enough to have known her!
Marjorie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Dayle McClain Dacus, parents Albert and Agnes Bernard Voskuhl, brother, Leo Voskuhl, and son-in-law, Mark Hanley.
She is survived by her brother, Cyril Francis Voskuhl. Marjorie is also survived by four children:
