Obituary

Marion Leon Maciejeski (Matt or M.L), born August 19, 1933, in Richards, TX, went to be with His Lord on March 19, 2024, at 9:52 pm surrounded by his family. Matt moved to Houston, TX where he pursued a career in the mortgage banking field. That is where he met his wife, Shirly Greenhill Maciejeski. They were married on May 17, 1958. Matt worked for Lomas + Nettleton, TJ Bettes, Nowlan, CTX, Houston Board of Realtors Credit Union, and First Service Credit Union to name a few. Matt also was sent to Northwestern University to teach a business class. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Walter and Cecilia Maciejeski. Brothers Dominc, David and Bruno Maciejeski. Sisters Marcel Carr, and Ruth Hike, and granddaughter Shelby Friedsom. Matt is survived by his son Walter Maciejeski and his wife Karen, and grandchildren Heather Wriser and her husband Robert, Matthew Maciejeski and his fiancé Caitlin Johnson, Daughter, Brenda Crawford and her husband David and grandchild Jessica Friedsom, great grandchildren Archer and Aiden.

Matt joined the Knights of Columbus 01-Oct-1983. He was one of the founding members of Council 8482 at Prince of Peace. He worked his way up to fourth degree knight. He was very passionate about the work he did for charities and the camaraderie of his brother Knights. Council 8482 was his home away from home. Matt loved selling drinks at the bar for events held there. He also loved to hunt and fish.

Special thanks to the staff of Misty Willow, Park Manor of Tomball and to the caring ladies with Sunset Hospice that took care of him in his time of need. The visitation will be held on Monday March 25 5:00 – 6:30 pm. Rosary at 6:30 pm at Klein Funeral Home – Champion Forest – 16131 Champion Forest Dr., Klein, TX 77379. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday March 26 at 10:30 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church – 19222 Tomball Parkway, Houston, TX. Interment will follow at Klein Memorial Park – 32529 SH 249 in Pinehurst, TX. Reception at Prince of Peace afterward. For those not able to attend interment, will be able to go to reception immediately after the funeral mass.
