It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marion P. Butler, a beloved resident of Conroe, Texas, who departed this life on May 16, 2026, at the age of 84. Marion was born on December 19, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late James and Gertrude (Horvath) Thompson.
Marion was a remarkable woman; known for her warm spirit and the love she shared with those around her. Her passion for life was evident in the simple joys she cherished: the timeless music of Johnny Cash, the delightful indulgence of chocolate candy, a refreshing Coca-Cola, and the companionship of her cherished cats. Marion had a unique way of making everyone feel special and loved, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, E.C. Butler, her beloved son, Jason Butler, and her brother-in-law, Doug Butler. Marion is survived by her loving daughter, Michelle Farley, and daughter-in-law, Rachel Thomas. She took great pride in her role as a grandmother to her cherished grandchildren: Jonathan Wright, Samantha Wright, Kenzie Thomas, and Evan Thomas.
Marion's legacy of love, kindness, and joy will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held to honor her memory, details of which will be shared with loved ones.
Rest in peace, dear Marion. Your spirit will forever inspire us, and your memory will live on in our hearts.
