MARION ALAN "MA" BISHOP

Marion Alan Bishop, born September 8, 1938 in Houston, TX, went to be with our Lord on November 7, 2021. He passed away peacefully at his home in Houston, TX surrounded by loved ones. Alan is preceded in death by parents Milton Lavelle & Josephine Brumek Bishop and daughter Karen Annette Bishop. Alan Is survived by his children Katherine Bishop Frank and Husband Thomas of Tomball, TX, Michael Alan Bishop and wife Vicki of Hempstead, TX and Kelly Josephine Bishop of Houston; Grandchildren Kristina Stewart, Jordan Wright, Thomas Frank II, Elizabeth Frank Esparza, Alan Michael Bishop, Madelyn Summer Bishop, Matthew Delgado; Alan is also survived by six Great Grandchildren, Dylan, Lucas, and Grant Stewart, Krew Esparza, Riley Annette and Aubrey Delgado; Siblings Margaret Bishop Satell, Milton G Bishop, Thomas Bishop and wife Karen, Marietta Hetmaniak and husband Bill Hetmaniak, Andrew Bishop and wife Gayle, Gregory Bishop, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be missed greatly by all.

Alan's personality stands alone as a great force with his compassion for others and always a sense of humor. He was a Great man, Father, Grandfather, Sibling, and Friend to all who knew him. Always there to lend a hand and have a good time. Alan graduated from Sam Houston High School, Class of 1957 where he played football and was a lifelong member of The Golden Coral club that met every month with fellow classmates. He entered the Houston Police Department Academy December 18, 1958, Class 23 and served 23 years as an Instructor in the Academy and patrol before retiring and going into business for himself in Construction.
