Marilynn was born in Sandusky, OH July 22, 1934. After his Navy and Coast Guard service, she met Bob Wallace of Erie, PA. They were married on January 7, 1956. They lived and worked in Toledo, OH, until they were transferred with Gulf Oil to Atlanta, GA, where they raised their family from 1963 to 1974. Then, Gulf transferred the family to Houston (Spring), TX, where she remained until Bob's death. She then moved to Tomball, TX.

After years of being a stay-at-home mom, Marilynn worked for an audiologist for many years and then spent over 20 years working for the Keep Pace program in the Klein ISD, where she retired. An avid reader, Marilynn worked part-time at Waldenbooks and was always reading a book or two, along with newspapers and magazines. Marilynn loved sports and never missed any game her children played, rain or shine. She followed the Klein Bearkats, Ohio State, Texas A&M, and Navy. Her favorite sport was baseball, and she loved watching the Houston Astros.  She would always pick a game over a show or movie. Maybe that's where her fighting spirit came from. Marilynn was also a breast cancer survivor of over 15 years. That determination was still with her to the end when she worked so hard to rehab her back fracture and deal with illness to get home. She was always concerned for others, her family and friends,  her doctors, and her therapists, before herself. She leaves behind a family who loves her and started to miss her the minute she beautifully passed.

Marilynn is preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Wallace (died 5/15/1988). Married for 32 years, she has missed him terribly, and the two are now reunited after 35 years . Marilynn is survived by her only sister Dorothy Sartor of Toledo, OH; her daughter, Lisa Rubey, and husband Mark, of Dallas, TX; her son Scott Wallace and his wife Jenny, of Boerne, TX; her son Neil Wallace and his wife Lisa, of Fort Worth, TX; and her daughter Tracy Hallmark of Houston, TX. Marilynn is also survived by what gave her so much pride, her seven grandchildren: Reed Rubey and Paige Rubey (Lisa and Mark), Joshua Wallace and Braden Wallace (Scott and Jenny), Bailee Wallace and Nathan Wallace (Neil and Lisa), and Katelynn Hallmark (Tracy).

A woman of strong and constant faith, we will start the celebration of Marilynn's life with a rosary (which she prayed daily), at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, followed by a funeral mass at 2:00 p.m., at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Spring, a church she called home for 45 years. Burial will take place at 3:45 p.m. at Klein Memorial Park in Tomball.
