Obituary

Marilyn Raye Sheridan born on January 8, 1939 went peacefully to her eternal home with Jesus on March 2, 2020.

Her parents, Homer Reed Turney and Mabel Beatrice Arnold; her siblings, Beverly Wheeler, Gene Turney, David Turney, half sister, Darlene Caldwell, and her son, Robert Reed Galloway, precede her in death. She is survived by her husband of almost 30 years, Jack Sheridan; son, Michael Galloway; daughter, Gill Davis and husband Kirk; daughter, Tobé Cantu and husband Adam. She has 6 grandchildren, Hailey Fontenot, Savanna Williams, Adam Cantu III, Noah Cantu, Seth Cantu, and Sarai Cantu and one great granddaughter, Olivia Fontenot. She also leaves behind two nieces, Joy Rodriguez and Tara Cassidy.

Marilyn was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and the friend you always wanted in your corner with a generous soul who would give you the shirt off her back or her last dollar if you were in need. She was a successful business owner of La Prima Donna Boutique for 11 years. She had an amazing gift of making women feel like a million bucks and a very unique style that made everyone come back for more!

Her favorite pastime was volunteering at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo where she was a long time member of the Swine and BBQ committees. Many people describe her as the absolute strongest woman they ever met. She was not only strong, but a confident and amazing beauty who took whatever life threw at her and had a way of turning it into something fabulous! She lived life, had fun, and laughed a lot! She lived life to the fullest. Her legacy lives on in her children and grandchildren. She truly was one of a kind!
