Marilyn Jean Raymond (nee Jacobson) was born on January 8, 1942, in Seattle, WA, and was the first child of Walter Jacobson and Shirley Mae Erickson. Marilyn passed away on January 24, 2024, in Cypress, TX, at the age of 82.

Marilyn grew up in Seattle with her two younger brothers, Raymond and Ed, and her best friends, the Baxter sisters. In school, Marilyn liked to play basketball and was close with her maternal grandmother, Bertha Elizabeth. When she was 17, Marilyn met Lawrence Raymond and they were married on May 4, 1959. In 1960, the couple welcomed their first child, Nancy Jo, on May 5. Their second child, Jody Kay, was born on August 10, 1961, followed by their third child, Laura Jean, on November 8, 1963. Lawrence and Marilyn divorced in the early 1980s after moving back to Seattle from Long Beach, California.

An avid gambler, Marilyn loved going to the casinos for her birthday, where she was often quite lucky. Marilyn follows her brother, Raymond, and her middle daughter, Jody. She is survived by her brother, Ed; her daughters, Nancy and Laura; as well as grandchildren, Jessica, Daniel, Angela, Weston, Nichole, and Emanuel, and 13 great-grandchildren.
