Obituary

Marilyn (Miller) Curtis was born in McAllen, Texas and grew up in Alamo, Texas graduating from PSJA High School in 1960. In 1964 she graduated from Texas A&I in Kingsville and a year later married her high school sweetheart, Charles Curtis Jr. Charles was the love of her life and together they spent 54 years happily married.

Marilyn was dedicated to serving others. From following Charles around the world for work while raising their family with stays in South Africa, Norway, Argentina, and Texas, to teaching elementary school, working in interior design work, and volunteering extensively in her community. Wherever Marilyn was needed, she was always happy to lend a hand and help others.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Esther, and her loving husband, Charles Jr. She leaves behind her daughter, Laurie Brandli and husband Kirk, her sons, Trey Curtis and wife Missy, and Cliff Curtis and wife Sandra, grandchildren, Lauren, Trevor, Travis, Jacob, Preston, Payton, Ava, Alex, and Sofia, and great-granddaughter Madilyn.

Marilyn was kind, funny, and generous, but above all she was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She was a wonderful storyteller, amazing cook, and a friend to everyone she met. She was always ready to share a story, share a laugh, and be there for anyone who needed her.  Her smile was infectious.

Her stories and legacy will live on and she will be greatly missed by so many.
