Mrs. Carlile passed away Tuesday evening, April 26, 2022, peacefully at her home, anxious to rejoice in the loving arms of her Savior.

Marilyn was born March 24, 1937, in Petrolia, Texas, the daughter of David and Eula Mae Schofield.  She was a lifelong resident of South Texas. On July 31, 1954, she married Larry Carlile and they raised three beautiful children. Marilyn was employed by Qualex Photo Labs until her retirement in 1999   Marilyn loved reading her Bible, often reminding others of her favorite scripture, Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."  Marilyn had a special love for her family, considering her children, grandchildren, church family, and special friends all a part of her circle of family.  She was a 20 year member of Willis Church of Christ, enjoyed reading, working in her yard, watching tv, and talking on the phone with her sister. Marilyn was also very gifted with a crochet needle; making baby blankets for multiple generations of family and friends.

Mrs. Carlile is preceded in death by her parents, David and Eula Mae Schofield; husband, Larry Carlile; son, John Baletka; grandson Justin Orlando; and brothers Red Schofield and Harvey Schofield.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters Anita Phillips, of Montgomery, and her life long friend David Summers, and Pattie Carlson and husband Rod, of Denver;  grandchildren, Christopher Orlando, Rodney Phillips and wife Jennifer, Tye Baletka, Tashia Baletka, and Tessa Baletka; great-grandchildren, Sofie and Heidi Phillips, Marley and Kenzie Fox; Averly and Jackson Mitchell and her beloved sister, Margie Linton.

The family of Marilyn asks that to honor this true lady, that we all strive to be kind to others and share the love of Jesus in all we say and do.
