Marian W. Balasinghe, 66, Houston, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, November 22, 2016.

Marian was born on November 26, 1949, in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He is survived by his family, siblings, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his dearest parents, Francis Martyn Balasingham and Monica Beatrice Balasingham (née Pietersz).

In lieu of flowers, his family asks to make a donation to the Educate Lanka Foundation, a US-based 501 (c)(3) organization that empowers underprivileged children in Sri Lanka by enhancing access to education, mentoring, and employment.
