Obituary

Maria V. Blanco was born on July 15, 1943 in Alaquines S.L.P., Mexico. She was the daughter of Julian Borjas and Rebeca Morales. She met and dated her future husband, Antonio for 10 years and were blessed with 54 year of marriage before his passing in July of 2023.

Soon after they married they moved to Brownsville, Texas and started their life and family in the Rio Grande Valley. They had five children: Juan Antonio, Alicia, Arturo (+), Julia and their youngest, Gabriel who was born in Houston, which was where they eventually planted their roots.

Today there is a celebration in the heavens for her. She has been reunited with her "eternal love" and her son, Arturo who she has missed both terribly. Although she is gone from us she has left wonderful memories and moments. She was a wonderful grandmother who taught her grandkids how to pray the rosary along with many traditions of her Catholic faith. She along with her husband were active in their Church for many years, prayed daily and at times outside in his garden.

Maria was a woman of tremendous faith who made sure to pass that along to her children. But, she also loved to celebrate them whether it was their birthdays, sacraments, graduations and so on.

God was grateful in giving her 82 years to spend with us and to see her 11 grandchildren grow. She also leaves 3 great grandchildren; Emma, Johnny Angel and Aaron. She will be missed but we know she is  in Gods hands and reunited with all of those she loved.
