Margaret "Peggy" Mary McDonnell left us too early when she passed away peacefully on February 21, 2021 in Tomball, Texas at the age of 63 after a prolonged illness.  Peggy entered this world on May 21,1957, where she added to the blessings of her parents Donna (Horst) McDonnell and Charles McDonnell.  Peggy grew up with her sisters Maureen, Jennifer, and Shari in Clinton, Iowa where she graduated high school from Mount St. Clare Academy.  Peggy attended Clinton Community College and St. Ambrose University as an honors student in the Accounting program.  Peggy had her three children Justina, Alex, and Colleen who were the center of her life.

Peggy was always up for an adventure and lived every day to the fullest.  Peggy enjoyed reading, being outdoors, completing crossword puzzles in pen, gardening, butterflies, cross-stitch, and telling people she had her motorcycle license and could weld and operate a forklift.  Peggy attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Bettendorf, Iowa where she volunteered in various ministries.  She also served in a number of local organizations as an outlet for her passion for environmental conservation.  Peggy will be most remembered for her love for her family and friends.  There was nothing that Peggy would rather do than spend time visiting with family and laughing with those she cherished.

Peggy was survived by her children Justina (Aaron) Lloyd of Houston, TX; Alex Ware of Ames, IA; Colleen Ware of Davenport, IA; her sisters Maureen (Roger) Stolley of Northfield, MN; Jennifer (Robert) Jensen of LeClaire, IA; her brother-in-law Steve Thomas of Charlotte, IA; her grandchildren Brianna Lloyd and Elijah Lloyd; nieces and nephews Christine, Jill-Ann, Lynn, Nicholas, Rebecca, Adam, Madeline, Andrew, and Braden; and friends near and far.  Peggy is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Sharon.

The family will hold a celebration of Peggy's life at a later date to share memories.  In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center.
