Obituary

Margaret Ann Kelley (nee Crenshaw), of Spring, Texas, age 56, passed unexpectedly after a chronic illness in the early hours of Wednesday, March 6, 2019, in her mother's home. Markie, as she was known to by her friends and family, was born to Alford Ray Crenshaw and Sibyl Jouette Woodard on June 14, 1962 in Sweetwater, Texas.

Markie split her adolescent years between west Texas and Houston, Texas, ultimately deciding to make Houston her forever home in 1980. In 1987 she met the love of her life, Patrick Michael Kelley. They married April 27, 1991. Together the couple had a daughter, Rebecca Michelle, and a son, Nathan Carl. Markie spent her children's formative years cheering them on at softball and baseball games, Ti Kwan Do matches and was a proud Cub Scout den mother. When she was not spending time her husband and children, she worked at her family's HVAC Company for two decades. Sadly in 2014, she lost her husband Pat to lung cancer and her own health issues began to plague her.

Markie was a lover of animals, laughter, playing pool and always had time for friendly competition. She was a loving soul, always ready with a kind word and a warm hug.

She is preceded in death by her husband Pat and her step-father Carl Ellis. She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Kelley of New Orleans, Louisiana and son Nathan Kelley of Spring, Texas, her father Ray and step-mother Sandy Crenshaw of Midland, Texas, her mother Jo Ellis of Magnolia, Texas, her brothers John (Amy) Crenshaw of Jersey Villiage, Texas, Andrew (Kerstin) Ellis of Bremen, Germany, Sean O'Toole of Mandeville, Louisiana, Kevin (Sharie) Crenshaw of San Antonio, Texas, Jason Crenshaw of Lubbock, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Markie and Pat's 28th wedding anniversary, April 27th, 2019 at Diamond Hall and Convention Center (25435 Fm 2978, Tomball, TX) at 1pm. Her family asks if you would like to make a donation to the Susan J Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the American Cancer Society in her name in lieu of flowers.
