Margaret Surrilda Smith Hill went home to be with the Lord on October 6, 2024.
Maggie was born June 21, 1941 to Noah Leroy and Gladys Smith in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she graduated from Will Rogers High School. She married Henry S. Hill on June 3, 1960. The couple celebrated 55 years of marriage!  Maggie fervently served the Lord all her adult life.
Maggie's deep faith in God, along with her love for her family as a wife, mother, and grandmother was at the heart of her life. With her radiant spirit, she brought joy and laughter to those around her, showing kindness to everyone.  Maggie was a dedicated member of South Main Baptist Church. She shared her spiritual gifts of teaching and serving with many children through her work as a Sunday School teacher for more than 50 years as well as on the mission field.
Maggie's deep commitment to helping others shone through her support of Henry and the South Main Baptist Church annual "Shoes for Orphan Souls" shoe drive  through Buckner International. She took numerous mission trips to Russia and Peru, personally delivering shoes and hope to children in need.
Rarely short of energy, Maggie lived an active and eventful lifestyle. Maggie achieved a 35+ year career as a real estate agent.  Whether by foot, bicycle, or plane, she was always on the go. She enjoyed frequent girl's trips with her friends to faraway places and delighted in collecting little treasures along the way. Her home swelled with warm hospitality and the smell of freshly baked goodies. To know Maggie was to have a lifelong friend.
Maggie is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hill; her sister, Joan Clough and nephew, Todd Hill. She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Shellie and Bill Loftus; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Noel Vincent; beloved grandchildren Haley Clavenna (Brian), Chelsea Denzler (Daniel), and Noah Vincent (Hailey); brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dan and Jane Hill, and nephews Tim Hill (Carrie), Mark and Craig Clough, and niece Karen Voller and their families.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be directed to South Main Baptist Church and designated to "Shoes for Orphan Souls" or "Children's Ministry".

Memorial Service Celebrating Maggie's life and honoring her faith will be held at South Main Baptist Church, Westmoreland Chapel on Saturday, October 19th at 11:00 a.m.
