Marcia Lee Sparrow, age 71, passed away peacefully at home in Tomball, TX on Saturday, June 27, 2020 after a long hard fought battle with cancer. Originally born in central Illinois she moved to Texas in the 80's, and has always considered herself a Texan by choice.
Marcia has 2 daughters, Toni Caputo and Tina Castillo, plus 1 grandson, Zachary Hausler, all who she loved very much. Also survived by Marcia are sisters, Evelyn and husband Ernie Schnoor, Gracie and husband Bill Cushman, Shirley Sullenberger and brother Paul Richard in addition to many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte and Arthur Richard, sister, Betty Woolley and brothers, Billy and Eddie Richard.
Marcia was a retired flight attendant from Continental Airlines, a job she loved and allowed her to travel seeing many new places which she enjoyed. In her spare time she enjoyed being a long term member of Zkrewe, a Galveston, TX based Mardi Gras Krewe. Known to many as "The Queen Mum", she was all about the beads, both throwing and receiving them. During the Mardi Gras season she could always be found with a neck full of beads. She fully enjoyed her retirement spending as much time as possible with family and her many friends, especially those she considered sisters by choice.
Marcia has earned her final set of wings and will be missed by all who knew her.
