Marcia Lynn Kirk

Marcia Lynn Kirk, born August 17, 1951, in DeWitt, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly on May 13, 2020 in Tomball, Texas. She grew up in Southeastern Nebraska and graduated from Beatrice High School in Beatrice, NE, in 1969. Marcia married James Kirk, of Trevose, Pennsylvania, on May 23, 1970. Soon after, she began her career as a dental hygienist in Lincoln, NE. In November 1974, Marcia and James welcomed their son, Derek. The family moved to Spring, TX, in 1984, where she began a decades-long career in the medical insurance industry working for Prudential, Aetna, and Coventry. Marcia retired in 2017.

Marcia loved Beagles, shopping, visiting with friends and family, and spending time with her grandsons. She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, James Kirk; father, Wayne Ziettlow; and brother, Gaylord Ziettlow. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Ziettlow; her son, Derek Kirk; daughter-in-law, Heather Kirk; grandsons Andrew & Benjamin Kirk, and Colton & Wyatt Klausmeyer; sister, Sheryl Schultz; and nephew, Bill Schultz.

A celebration of life will be held at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, TX, at a future date with details to be provided. Marcia's family will have a private interment, where she will be buried with her late husband, James.
